Introduction

Many people have doubts regarding the eternal question: whether to visit Barcelona with kids or to travel Barcelona alone without the kids?
Well… indeed Barcelona like many other cities in the world, is referring more to adults and less to children, but still there are many tourist sites, activities, attractions and experiences for kids too.
Family trip to Barcelona with kids can be very successful, both for parents and kids.
Kids visiting Barcelona can enjoy from interesting architectonic buildings, special environmental statues and from parks and colorful markets. They can enjoy very much the wonderful parks, different zoological gardens, amusement and adventures parks and many other attractions.
Guell Park, for example, and the building inside it, especially from inside, will look for the kids like some kind of Allis in wonderland version. The many colorful streets events, especially La Rambla boulevards in which there is a reach animals market, with especially parrots and other birds, street painters, jugglers, clowns on crutches, human statues, that for sure will fascinate them. Most of the attractions for kids concentrated in the area of Montjuic, Tibidabo, and Port Vell.
The area of Poble Espanyol is also very popular among kids, who like to watch glass blowers, magic shows and other shows.
In a rainy day it is recommended to visit with the kids in Espania mall located in Port Vell and watch movie in the IMAX cinema there.

Barcelona Zoo

Barcelona’s zoo (Zoo de Barcelona) is located together with the Zoological museum inside Ciutadella Park (Parque de la Ciudadela). The zoo was founded in 1892, and inside it lots of animal species can be found. There are dolphins, poisonous reptiles, orangutans, aardvarks, dwarfish hippopotamus, giant turtles, elephants, exotic birds and different kind of flora. In the zoo there are more than five regions exactly restoring the natural living environment of more than 400 animal species. The symbol of Barcelona’s zoo was during many years the only albino gorilla in the world, named “snow flake”, which past away in 2003 from skin cancer. In the zoo it is possible to rent a personal audio device and go to a guided tour with it, listen to explanations and info in different languages. It is also possible to rent electronic cars for a tour in the zoo, go to a ride in an electronic train and ride horses.

Laberint Park
